Integral Pelvic Therapy Training®
Integral Pelvic Therapy Training®
September ’24 will see the start of the 8th edition of the Integral Pelvic Therapy Practitioners training! From October 2024, highly experienced healthcare professionals can also be expected to take an abbreviated IPT Practitioner course.
What does Integral Pelvic Therapy entail?
Integral Pelvic Therapy (IPT) is a subtle form of bodywork involving external and, if necessary, internal massage techniques in the pelvic and abdominal area. This activates the body’s self-healing ability with the goal of restoring balance to the pelvis. IPT can help with various pelvic complaints such as urine leakage, pain during intercourse, tension in the pelvis, fertility problems or menstrual complaints.
IPT is a holistic/integral form of pelvic therapy. We look at all layers: physical, emotional, mental, energetic and spiritual. We connect the medical as well as the emotional and energetic worlds with this unique method.
Who is the Integral Pelvic Therapy Training for?
The IPT Practitioner training is for professionals who work with the female pelvis, such as physical therapists, physicians, midwives, doulas, bodyworkers coaches, massage therapists and other professionals interested in women’s health care.
Prior to training, there is an intake interview to see if the training is appropriate.
Content of Integral Pelvic Therapy Training
This post-graduate course takes 11 months to complete. It is a mix of theoretical knowledge and hands-on training. You finish the course with a theoretical, practical and oral exam. You also write a thesis that you present at the end of the program. After completing the program, you will have everything you need to start your own practice. If you would like to learn more about IPT, please visit our website here: www.integralpelvictherapy.com.
Hands-on Learning
During the classes, you mainly dive into the practical. During class days, our training consists of about 30% theory and 70% practice. You practice on each other, both with female and male participants.
Basic Year IPT Training: Focus on the Female Pelvis
In the foundation year, you focus on the female pelvis. After certification, you can take an additional module for the male pelvis.
Online Learning Environment
You get access to an online learning environment with theoretical lessons that you can take at home. Sometimes we also have guest lecturers who share their knowledge. We test the theory during the practical lessons. In addition, you will receive a comprehensive syllabus for reference.
Practice sessions and Intake interviews.
Between class days, we expect you to schedule at least two practice sessions of two hours each. There will also be an intake session. You will make reports of these sessions and submit them to the instructors. This is how we guide you in your personal learning process.
Self-Inquiry and Personal Development
In the first few months, the focus is on your own process and self-exploration. The practical skills are technical, but over time you will learn to respond to clients’ specific requests for help. This all happens within the group of your learning year, led by Daphne and Mariëtte and a team of experienced assistants.

The course has an HBO thinking level. That doesn’t mean, you have to be HBO educated to participate. We have also trained maternity nurses, doulas or people without any background with good results. Our experience is that if you attend, prepare well and absorb the information given during the classes, you will go a long way in the training.
Our training is well accredited by various agencies. These bodies require from us review times and proof of it. It ultimately benefits the quality of the training!
Yes, you certainly can! You don’t have to have done any specific prior training to participate. So even if you are not medically trained, you are welcome.
It makes sense that you are excited! We make sure that everyone feels safe in the group in order to embark on a journey together in the pelvis. Of course, you are also going through your own process and this is only possible if you know and trust the people around you well. The group is therefore never larger than 14 students, with the main teachers being supported by one or more very experienced assistants.
Depending on your prior education/experience, that may be possible. If you want to, let us know and we will look at the possibilities together.
This is possible. We do charge an additional 250€ administrative fee for this.
You will always be given the option to continue the course at another time. For other cancellation conditions, please refer to the study conditions contract.
Yes, we would like you to take Medical and Psychological Basics at CPION within 2 years of training.
Yes, after training and joining the professional association, you will be able to open your own practice.
Affiliation with the IPTA shows that you remain trained and tested as an IPT therapist. This is the only way to comply with the WKKGZ Act. It also gives you the option of taking out professional liability insurance. As a student, you are automatically an aspirant member of the IPTA and are insured by Dana Center.
