Prior to training, there is an intake interview and an assessment to see if the training is appropriate.
Duration and program
The course is post-HBO and lasts 6 months. It is a mix of theoretical knowledge and hands-on training. You conclude the training with a theoretical, practical and oral exam. The content of this abbreviated training is equal to that of the regular training. More information can be found on the Integral Pelvic Therapy website.
Theory & Practice
During the training days there will be practice on each other. It is therefore important that you are comfortable with this. You will learn to look closely at your own actions as a caregiver where you will give and receive constructive feedback.
Between the training days we ask you to put what you have learned into practice and reflect on it. We will work with this during intervision and supervision moments between the training days.
You will receive a comprehensive syllabus. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate.

- The difference between Informed versus Embodied Consent
- Communicating according to the principles of Embodied Consent
- Knowledge and understanding around the principles of trauma and trauma-informed work
- Review of basic knowledge surrounding anatomy, physiology and pathology of the human body and pelvis in particular
