When you are pregnant, the biggest question you face is; how will my delivery go? What can I expect? What am I excited about? Can I handle the contractions? What if it all goes differently than I would like?

There are many pregnancy courses that all try to answer the above questions. The angle can be about maintaining your autonomy, being informed, what is the role of the partner or what attitudes can I adopt.

In this day, training we will address all these aspects,
from a completely different angle….

After all, what is really the secret of birth?

How can you step through the gateway to motherhood using the information that is there, maintaining your autonomy, connecting with your partner in all the freedom of your body?

  • Through body-oriented exercises, using the body and your (inner) voice,
    you will embark on a journey into your pregnant self.
  • You will find out the secret of birth, which includes your baby.
  • We explore convictions or blockages you encounter in yourself and
    you are given tools to transform them.
  • So that you can go into labor confidently, with the right people to assist you,
    in connection with your partner and baby!

This day will be taught by Daphne van der Putten

Daphne is an obstetrician and co-owner of Dana Centrum in Zeist. A center for holistic birth care, where body-oriented work and midwifery go hand in hand.

Daphne worked for years as a clinical obstetrician in Academic Center where she always felt somewhat frustrated in dealing with complex problems in the delivery rooms. From a personal interest she came into contact with bodywork, which seemed to be an answer to problems such as non-progressing dilation, desire for pain relief, fear during childbirth or a baby that did not want to come. Since then, together with her partner Mariëtte Frits, she has deepened and further developed this methodology into Integral Pelvic Therapy (IPT), a complementary treatment method in the pelvis. Within her obstetrics practice, IPT is integrated into the care given with surprisingly good results!
