What does Dana’s guidance cost?

We have contracts with all health insurers. Standard midwifery care for pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum is automatically covered by the basic insurance for every pregnant woman in the Netherlands.

Our midwifery care goes way beyond the standard care. That’s why we charge a fee for extra process guidance (via our Basic, Gold, and Gold & Healthy packages). This way we can guarantee our personal, intensive guidance. Please note: these extra costs are usually not covered by basic or supplementary health insurance.

All investments at a glance:

Pregnancy introduction meeting 30 minutes: free

Package of choice: €1500 (Basic), €1850 (Gold), or €2500 (Gold & Healthy)

Payment in full after final registration with our practice. You will receive an invoice around the end of your first trimester. Payment in 3 installments is possible upon request. We charge €50 administration fee per partial invoice.

Late enrollment rates: If you enroll later in pregnancy (after 29 weeks), €250 will be deducted from the total package price of your chosen package from the overview above. You will receive an invoice once you are definitively registered with us.

For any additional driven kilometers other than the above-mentioned trips, you will receive an invoice based on a post-calculation after the postpartum week. The rate charged for this is €0.48/km.

Maternity Care 

Cost of maternity care is not included; you obtain this through a maternity care organization.

Ultrasounds

For medical and elective ultrasounds, you can also come to Dana. Medical ultrasounds are covered by the basic insurance, and we will bill your health insurer directly. The costs for the ultrasound to determine your due date, the 13 and 20 week ultrasound, as well as ultrasounds on medical indication, are in this category.

The costs for the ultrasound to determine your due date, the 13 and 20 week ultrasound are covered by insurance only once per pregnancy.

For ultrasounds not covered by insurance, you will receive an invoice from us, which you can pay by card at the reception desk. 

Ultrasound Rates:

Viability ultrasound (7-12 weeks):	€40
Ultrasound at your own request – non medical (from 12 weeks):	€70
Gender determination ultrasound (from 16 weeks):	€40
USB-stick (for non Dana-customers, otherwise included in the Dana packages)	€5

Cancelling or rescheduling appointment ultrasound: you can change your appointment free of charge up till 24 hours before the start of the ultrasound. If not cancelled in time, the full cost will be charged.

*For ultrasounds at your own request, a USB stick with visual material and black-and-white photos on high-gloss photo paper is included. For other ultrasounds, you can purchase a USB stick from us. Due to digital security, it is not possible to bring your own USB stick.
